Hi, I’m Lauren Elise Peterson, otherwise known as The Body Lorax. Just like Dr. Seuss’s Lorax spoke for the trees to protect the forest, I speak for the bodies to protect your health & happiness.


For the busy healers & creatives I love to work with, so much gets stuck in the body. Those unfelt feelings wreak havoc on mental, physical, & emotional health as well as overall quality of life.

Here’s the kicker: so many people don’t even recognize that this is the root of their unhappiness & lack of fulfillment.

So many of us are walking around with heavy burdens weighing us down like:

🥀Living out of alignment with our true goals & desires

Instead, they find themselves:

That’s where I come in. I bring my training as a board-certified dance/movement therapist, 10+ years of experience as a clinician, 7 years as a coach, 20+ years as a dancer, & my lifetime as a performer to help you bring your brain & body back together.

Because your body has valuable information for your brain. Information that is essential for living a happy, healthy, fulfilled life.

    1. You’ll learn fun, fast somatic tools to help you manage your stress so that the next time you get activated, you’ll know just what to do.

    2. This is not a diet or weight-loss approach. Learning to listen to & love your body is much more valuable.

    3. We’ll talk and move. We’ll verbally process what needs to come out that way. We’ll use right-brain creativity and movement to express what there are no words for. 

    4. You don’t have to be a dancer. The somatic tools I teach to help ground & soothe you are accessible to everyone.

    5. All genders, all bodies, all orientations, all pronouns are welcome. If you have a body, this work will work for you.

    6. You can vent to me about how the system that is oppressing you is stressing you out. That’s real, and you probably have some emotions that need to be processed about it.

    7. My cats are going to show up on our Zoom call, it’s inevitable.
