Hi, I’m Lauren- but my nickname is the “Body Lorax.” Like Dr. Seuss’s Lorax speaks for the trees, I speak for the bodies. Because, unfortunately, in this fast-paced, Capitalist, numbed-out society, most of us have been trained from birth to disconnect from our body’s innate wisdom. I’m here to bring you and your body back together into loving alignment.
I bring my decades in the mental health field, 10+ years as a board-certified dance/movement therapist, my 20+ years as a dancer & performer, 7+ years as a coach, and my lived experience as someone who has struggled with disordered eating to our work together.
I want you to know you don’t have to punish or deprive your body in order to do your best work as a mental health clinician. Actually, it’s the opposite. I’m here to help you discover the path back to yourself in the way that is the most aligned, authentic, and pleasurable for you.

Disordered eating behaviors are a common maladaptive coping mechanism for clinicians struggling with vicarious trauma and burnout. This is definitely something I can help you address.
However, please note that my goal is to help you build a loving relationship with your body without having to change your body.
