Because it leaves you especially vulnerable to body image issues, fatphobia, and other societal poison.

When your body is your job, you have to be thinking about what you are putting on display- and how others will react.

Hi, I’m Lauren 🌸

My nickname is the “Body Lorax” because like Dr. Seuss’s Lorax speaks for the trees, I speak for the bodies. Because, unfortunately, in this fast-paced, Capitalist, Fatphobic society, most of us have been trained from birth to disconnect from our body’s innate wisdom. I’m here to bring you and your body back together into loving alignment.

I bring my 10+ years as a board-certified dance/movement therapist, my 20+ years as a dancer & performer, 7+ years as a coach, and my lived experience as someone who has struggled with disordered eating to our work together.

I want you to know you don’t have to punish or deprive your body to be able to love your body. Movement is what made that possible for me. I’m here to help you discover the path back to yourself in the way that is the most authentic and pleasurable for you.

  • ConfiDANCE Coaching

    🌸 12 weekly, 60-minute 1:1 Zoom calls where I will give you unconditional emotional support, somatic tools, and a safe space to vent & process

    🌸 Voxer support between sessions (I check & respond to messages every morning Monday-Friday)

    🌸 Customized “homework” or practical somatic tools to help you cope with whatever it is that you’re going through

    🌸 Complimentary admission to any other classes or courses I’m leading during our 3 months together

This is not a weight loss program.

My goal is to help you build a loving relationship with your body without having to change your body. 


While I am happy to help you process your feelings about diet, fitness for weight loss, & medical interventions- these are not my personal approaches to healing.

This is not a dance technique class.

ConfiDANCE gives you somatic tools for self-care, handling challenging situations, and releasing stuck emotions.

While we can certainly talk through your feelings about performance and finding your artistic voice, this program is not a dance critique course.
